A conservative Christian music cd featuring songs of comfort for suffering Christians and hurting hearts.

This project is born out of a desire to comfort my wife of 22 years, Sarah Chapman. She has suffered from a complex mix of aggressive autoimmune disorders since 2008. Since 2014, she has been bedbound 95% of the time, living in constant, debilitating pain. Our bedroom has become her world. Her body is a prison of pain. Nevertheless, the light of Christ shines through her brightly every day. She is the most spiritual, thoughtful, and loving person I have ever known. Daily, she seeks the grace of God to be a fantastic wife and mother from her bed. She has not allowed affliction to steal her sweetness. I thank God for her every day. She is an amazing testimony of God’s mercy and grace.


Each of these songs has special meaning for us. God allowed me to write three of these songs in dark days. I never expected to share them with the world, but I sensed that I should on this CD. “For When Jesus Comes” was written at my kitchen table on a day I thought I could not go on. “It’s OK, It’s Alright” is a song that I sing to Sarah as I hold her when her pain is unbearable. It is sung without instruments because that’s how she’s always heard it. I wrote “I’m Thankful” as we drove home from the Mayo Clinic in MN, having just heard that they could not help Sarah. We were called to the furnace of affliction, but we chose to be grateful.


I’m thankful for (my son) Paul’s help on this project. He is a fine young man who loves his mom and is a big help to us. My daughters, Stacey and Katelynn, are amazing young ladies too. Also, we have three children in Heaven lost through miscarriages that we look forward to meeting someday in Heaven. Our wonderful children make parenting a joy and partner with us through this affliction.


Soon after beginning this project for Sarah, I was encouraged to expand its scope to help others. There are so many hurting people in the world. We pray these songs will bring you comfort on your darkest days. When you are suffering, remember that you are not alone. Someone is praying for you.
